About the Owner of Annie  Gourmet Catering of Encinitas, San Diego

I am Anne Rice, alias Gourmet Annie.  I knew I qualified for the ‘foodie’ club when I began to fill every video tape I owned with cooking shows that I recorded from the Food Network and/or PBS, and filled every spare minute I had watching these shows.  At the time I worked for a Biotech company and wondered how in the heck I was going to pursue this passion of mine and make a career out of it?!

It didn’t take long.  After taking some preliminary courses from the CCA in San Francisco and  testing out my skills on my very willing ‘guinea pig’ friends, I made the leap and earned my Culinary Certificate from a Junior College in the Bay Area.  I now work with a small catering staff out of Encinitas, in San Deigo County,  and am doing what I love most.  And let me tell you, when it comes to food, that ‘love’ is the magic ingredient that cannot be mass produced.  I wish I could share it with everyone, because there is nothing more rewarding than literally ‘satiating’ people with my greatest gift.  I look forward to sharing my talents with you.  .  .
